The Eurovision song contest has a worldwide audience of 600,000 viewers! Such was the incredible success of Eurovision that it was inevitable that four years ago JUNIOR EUROVISION was born.

The 2003 JUNIOR EUROVISION Song Contest was the first ever international talent contest for young performers between the ages of 10 to 15.

In Copenhagen’s packed Forum venue, kids from 16 countries competed for the prestigious award.

Intandem Films presents a feature length documentary (think X Factor and American Idol meets Best in Show, Borat and Little Miss Sunshine) that will chart the tears, laughter and riveting high drama from this year’s live contest in Rotterdam this December. We will follow the young hopefuls, their parents, trainers and musicians through the qualifying rounds and then on to the main competition of the singing and dancing extravaganza that is the JUNIOR EUROVISION Song Contest.

Starstruck is backed by an incredibly talented and award winning team including Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen (How To Lose Friends and Alienate Peopl, Ladies In Lavender, Little Voice, Interview With The Vampire, The Crying Game).

In 2006 the director, Jamie Johnson was selected as one of Screen International’s “Stars of Tomorrow”. He has already been BAFTA nominated and currently has a development deal with the BBC’s documentaries department.
