AND WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE YOUR FATHER added to Intandem slate [ 12/07/2006 ]
Number 9 Films and FilmFour have planned an autumn shoot for Anand Tucker’s AND WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE YOUR FATHER? Tucker’s schedule is free this autumn as he’s no longer at the helm of New Line’s The Golden Compass. Starter For Ten author David Nicholls adapted the Father screenplay from Blake Morrison’s bestseller. Morrison’s memoir is about a son’s conflicting memories of his father. Jim Broadbent and Colin Firth are set to star. Number 9’s Elizabeth Karlsen will produce with Stephen Woolley. The project has been developed through the UK Film Council’s slate funding initiative. Intandem Films will handle international sales for AND WHEN DID YOU LAST SEE YOUR FATHER? “This film joins a very strong slate of FilmFour literary adaptations including amongst others Brick Lane and The Last King of Scotland,” said Channel 4’s head of film and drama Tessa Ross. “It is fantastic to be reunited with director Anand Tucker, Jim Broadbent and Colin Firth who look set to make this moving novel into a compelling film.” Number 9’s Mrs Harris, made with Killer Films for HBO, recently received 12 Emmy nominations. Number 9 and Killer are also teaming for Julian Schnabel’s THE LONELY DOLL written by Caroline Thompson and also developed with the UK Film Council’s slate funding. |
